Pros

Had a lot of freedom in my job and was able to grow an engineer.

Cons

My responsibilities would change almost daily and no repercussions were doled for those refusing my changes to manufacturing. My main goal was to improve production by reducing confusion on the engineering and manufacturing floors through better communication. Nobody would comment on changes until they were implemented despite emails and meetings. Instead, coworkers would go to our Director and complain about how they didn’t like the changes, which included unifying BOMs, revision control, and procuring parts. Qualified coworkers left between 2-3 years.

Pros

Can't think of any pros at IPG Medical.

Cons

Don't go by the size of the company. They have no processes in place. Extremely toxic leadership. They have no control on the old guard. You will see a lot of people there for decades, but not a lot of new people. New people run away from there. The place is full of extreme micromanagement, disrespect towards employee's education and experience. They like to plan but not follow the plan. Resource allocation is a joke. A handful of people are overworked and a majority of people are twiddling their thumbs. Only those knowing the old guard benefit from that place. Everyone else is an outsider.
