Poor management in R&D - R&D Engineer IPG Photonics Employee Review

Great culture and the people are wonderful.

Difficult to grow your career. Growth tends to be stagnant.

Can't think of any pros at IPG Medical.

Don't go by the size of the company. They have no processes in place. Extremely toxic leadership. They have no control on the old guard. You will see a lot of people there for decades, but not a lot of new people. New people run away from there. The place is full of extreme micromanagement, disrespect towards employee's education and experience. They like to plan but not follow the plan. Resource allocation is a joke. A handful of people are overworked and a majority of people are twiddling their thumbs. Only those knowing the old guard benefit from that place. Everyone else is an outsider.
