The bureaucracy taking over this company is almost indescribable. The current situation is so deplorable that many engineering sections of the company have effectively become unable to fulfill their primary function. This is compounded by a growing culture of frankly producing a product that is often of the minimum passable quality. Among all the employees in my section we have ~40 years of experience at IPG as a sum of years worked. Within those 40 years there have only been two instances of a promotion/title change. I cannot say for certain that this is the reason for the diminishing quality, but I can certainly say that the current outlook among my peers is bleak. I can only speak for the engineering departments, but if you are an engineer or similar reading this then I have nothing to say other than this company has extremely few redeeming qualities, and those that it does have are not nearly adequate enough to compensate for its many deficiencies.
