Pros

Small nimble business that can react quickly to changes in the market place Keen to develop people from within the business and often look at the attributes of the person more than the qualifications / experience (role dependant) Patients matter and the company really try to do everything they can to benefit the patient You are not restricted by your job role, the company isn't very big and therefore you are exposed to many different projects / tasks which is great for your breath of experience The new building refurbishment has been completed to a very high specification and overall working at Ipsen is a nice environment Senior management are very accessible and happy to talk with any employee within the business Slough is recognised as a global head office and therefore there development to work from here as a global colleague Personal development is very important and not just talked, you do have to drive this personally but if you want to develop you will be encouraged You are empowered within you role and accountability sits with the projects lead / department Team work within many of the departments / divisions is strong and communication is open and frequent Global colleagues are often very keen to work with the UK affiliate and often come to the UK to champion new projects

Cons

Lack of experience and professionalism within senior management in the UK Decisions can be made too quickly such as restructures leading to an atmosphere of fear and unknown. The restructure carried out last year was very unprofessional and many people who had worked for the company for a long period of time lost their jobs and were treated very badly. People being promoted too quickly leading to a lack of depth in people's experience. Majority of the UK business has very inexperienced employees and often new People do not seem to be valued, very experienced people are leaving the business that have made senior management aware they are unhappy and nothing is done to retain employees, even those that are well respected People are very focused on their next role and not the role they are currently in, leading to difficulty getting the job done and often people are seen to be out for themselves Feedback on individuals is not taken seriously by the company and many people have left due to one or two people within the business Promotions after very short periods of time within role, there is no personal learning on projects / role and leads to a culture of looking good now and not your ability to complete / follow things through General lack of professionalism within the business, swearing, personal information not being treated as such Lack of policies / procedures and if there are any the are very out of date and often refer to old software

Pros

Ipsen continues to offer a mission‑driven environment where teams are genuinely committed to improving outcomes for patients and society, and that sense of purpose shows up in the day‑to‑day culture. Collaboration across functions is strong, and there are meaningful opportunities to contribute to strategy, development, and cross‑functional problem‑solving. We have an amazing team filled with valuable talents.

Cons

The pace of change and evolving priorities can sometimes create ambiguity, and some processes still require tighter alignment to reduce friction and improve consistency. Development pathways and communication around long‑term strategy can feel uneven depending on the team. However, Ipsen remains a place where impact, collaboration, and purpose are real strengths, with room to continue strengthening operational clarity and consistency as the organization grows, which is an achievement.

Pros

Some nice colleagues. Good perks.

Cons

High leadership turnover and lack of transparency and direction. A few toxic individuals are running the show, promoting inexperienced employees at the expense of competent ones.
