Toxic Finance Org Hiding Behind Company Culture - FP&A Insight Global Employee Review

Pros

Very cool building, but the company shifted to a penny pinching approach and cut all the free snacks from the budget. Don’t worry, the senior leaders decided to use those “savings” to give raises to their favorite employees that have no idea what they are doing. But hey, they’re fun people so they deserve a $25K raise.

Cons

The FP&A org is led by a VP that pretends to care about her employees’ well being, but at the end of the day she only cares about you if you “show initiative” and work into the late hours of the night tackling small comments because she is a “perfectionist” ( her words, not mine). Aside from the FP&A org, you have a leadership team that will smile at the camera but they are difficult to work with. Most of my time with this company I was asking myself how these leaders even got to their positions - turns out they just faked it until they made it and are just great at networking instead of being true leaders. Don’t get me started on the insulting 401(k) match of $250 for the full year.

Pros

The individual contributors and the endless amounts of budget for campaigns tools and resources. A great place for marketing creatives looking to do just that, create.

Cons

Leadership served themselves, not their team. There's 0 structure with no marketing KPI measurement or revenue attribution to show the ROI. Everyone always seemed so busy but nothing was getting done to show the impact marketing had on the businesses bottom line. Not many wanted to do the work to build the department to any potential, half of marketing doesn't even work under marketing which promotes vast misalignment. Just resources begging to be used and a bleeding advertising budget. It has a ton of potential, but I watched the few who could have changed it all leave over the frustrations of leaders only concerned with their own self preservation.
