Pros
-The team is fantastic - interesting, fun, diverse, multilingual, talented. You can learn a lot from those around you, and you get the impression that everyone in the company cares deeply - from new starters right through to long standing seniors. -Very humanitarian company that puts a lot of effort into helping people who are sometimes in very scary and even life-threatening situations. You get a real sense of accomplishment from your work. -Opportunity to learn valuable and interesting skills that you wouldn't learn in any other position, e.g. how to activate an Air Ambulance. -Supportive management on the ops platform. -Office is located in a great business park - really green and spacious.
Cons
-Can be very stressful - employees are often overworked and when staff leave or are absent they are really missed on the ops floor. -13 hour shifts are non-negotiable and can be very draining. -Distinct lack of recognition for coordinators despite the fact that their work is absolutely crucial to the success and reputation of the business.
