Pros

3/4 days off a week and the business park, nothing else

Cons

If you are thinking about joining the TRICARE operations team please think long and hard about the decision you are about to make. You will be consistently micro managed, you will be thrown into the deep end with limited resources and training, you will be punished by management and the quality team if you make a mistake, there is a blame culture that exists throughout management even if you are new to the platform. Management will give you conflicting information and tasks, they are very supportive on the surface but at soon as the turd hits the fan they will turn their back and the blame will rest on you. To sum this role up it is dead end 13 hour call centre job in disguise. The turnover of staff is huge 5-7 people join every month and of those 5-7 around half will quit during training, on average you will see 1-2 people leaving every month, yet nothing is done or even investigated about why this is happening by those at the top of the pyramid. I cannot say the same for the operation coordinators on the operation platform, nor the medical team staff as they seem to have much better management compared to the TRICARE team.
