Pros
In this role you are assisting and supporting people with their medical needs and concerns and so you do feel that you are making a real impact on a person's life. You will have continuous support from the various teams and from senior management throughout cases and so you will never be working alone to get the job done. This also means that this role is heavily reliant on team-work. The company will give you thorough training in order to prepare you for the job at hand. I feel that I was given the proper training and that I have been able to learn new things and progress in my role once training had ended. The company will support you to progress and move forward if you show your motivation and willingness to learn. They are also always looking to move you forward internally, and so sometimes, there are opportunities to work at a different office across the globe. I feel that I have gained a lot of experience and insight in this operational role and industry which will help me move forward with my career.
Cons
Workload can, at times, be heavy and a little bit stressful. However if you have good time management and organisational skills then this can be overcome.
