Pros

- Free seasonal uniform allowance and 60% staff discount - Colleagues are friendly and nice to work with - Attractive Store - Odd occasion to see or work with notable / famous customers

Cons

- Everyone has individual sales targets, which can make a stressful, competitive environment at times. (Even though the Managers say it doesn't) - Cliquey management. Can be strict at times and watch you like a hawk to make sure you reach sales. - J.Crew's way of how to engage with customers seems forced a bit pushy. - Understaffed so can result in you taking up more hours and work so poor work / life balance

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
