Pros

Nice co-workers, discount on clothing, flexible schedule, personal shoppers can earn decent money in commissions, a lively, friendly environment.

Cons

No room for growth, Corp doesn't take retail employees seriously enough, shedule can change at the last minute with little regard for one's personal life, hours are often cut so it's almost impossible to count on this income, on-call shifts limits ability to make plans outside of work.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
