Pros

Great customer interaction. Wonderful product, and supportive management. Excellent reputation I enjoyed the people I worked with, they became family/friends in many ways. Management was very reasonable with time off, and giving the necessary support you needed as an associate and a person. Product knowledge and information widely available.

Cons

Quality of clothing does not match price. As an associate this became difficult to sell that "j.crew quality." Upper management was not at flexible or understanding. Did not take the time to get to know each store more personally. VERY "Corporate"-- There is always someone you have to answer to. Corporate and Upper management could use to learn about servant leadership. It is not hard to get easily burnt out, because at the end of the day its only about profits. Very Bitter-Sweet experience.

Pros

There are a lot of talented, hardworking people at this company, which makes recent leadership decisions even more frustrating.

Cons

Communication around major organizational changes has been vague and inconsistent, leaving employees with significant uncertainty and little confidence in the direction of the business. Morale has declined considerably. Many employees feel that years of experience, performance, and institutional knowledge are being undervalued in favor of rigid policies and top-down decision making.
