Pros

The discount is pretty good at 40 percent and there isnt a dress code. Theyre pretty chill with hair color, tattoos and piercings as well.

Cons

Welcome to hell. You a sales associate? Dont expect any hours. You a co manager? Dont expect a life. As a co asking for a weekend off is like cussing someone's mother off and dont expect availability with your schedule youre pretty much given whatever and expected to go with it. Working 6 days a week with a single day off. At the same time you couldve just worked damn near 60 hours one week alone and after two weeks barely walking away with a 550 dollar paycheck. Dont expect a single ounce of slack either. You sick? Too bad. You just worked a double and have to open this morning. Have fun. In my case i demoted myself to go back to school but offerred to stay with the company. The DM and ASMs are basically giant children and will talk crap about you behind your back. On top of this all youre expected to meet unrealistic standards of performances. If youre trans or nb do not expect them to respect your choice in gender pronouns and name. Most managers will not care and will call your whatever name is on the schedule. Varies on the management. Dont even get me started on the 4 to the floor politics of bs. 0/10 do not ever work for this company.

Pros

- Diversity & inclusion throughout employees - No dress code (other than inappropriate clothing obviously and occasional Journeys t-shirts during holidays) - Paid training - Flexible schedule (at least at my store)

Cons

- Horrible corporate mentality - Only the sales leads and above work on commission even though every employee has to HARD sell - Sales goals that are unrealistic and based off of the previous year's numbers - Little to no benefit for reaching or surpassing the ridiculous sales goals - District managers and corporate employees who say you're not good at your job unless you practically beg customers to buy socks and multiple pairs of shoes even if they came in knowing exactly what they want (to the point of annoying the customer) - Verbal, then write up, then immediate termination if you don't meet or surpass EVERY single category in your MPR (monthly progress report) - District managers who demote the best managers and transfer people to other stores with no say in the matter, as well as letting certain bad managers get away with things without reporting it - lowwwww pay for what is expected of the employee
