Pros

K-C has some excellent employees who are a joy to work with K-C has a great history As a company, K-C does not excel in any areas as compared to other employers

Cons

Passive aggressive corporate culture - it is not politically correct to be direct -it is all about being perceived as "nice" Lack of diversity at corporate office-lack of African-Americans in Atlanta is shocking considering the demographics ( and I am white) People at corporate walk on eggshells for fear of doing anything that will bring attention to themself -not a good place to work if you are not a conformist-it is an environment of fear Lack of IT support-the outsourced "solution" is an absolute joke Aspects of HR have been outsourced. HR is virtually non-existent at a corporate level and lacks direction and execution of some very basic HR-related policies. Incestuous organization that often fails to look outside its walls Lack of project execution at a corporate level is shocking and has been tolerated Not people-focused - talent is bleeding from the company and there is no strategy to stop it Below average in terms of employee recognition - only executives get bonuses Very backwards in many areas, ie IT, HR policies, etc Employees are "invited" to come to a Christmas luncheon and be served by the execs and then you are expected to pay for your meal-how utterly tacky-cheapest company I have ever worked for by far-corporate doesn't even give shirts with the company logo. Is it any surprise that company pride is waning? CEO does not portray the image of a leader-employees joke about his lack of emotion and charisma Corporate does employee surveys and does nothing visible to respond to its identified shortcomings There are actually guidelines for office size, furniture and even size of paintings all based on the Hay point system. Talk about driving wedges between the "classes." I have never seen anything like it in the corporate world. I wanted to put some tasteful pictures in my office and was told that only "Kimberly-Clark approved" artwork was permitted.
