Pros
Except for management, Kontron is full of good people that care about their work and customers. Unfortunately, they are leaving after fallout from 'New Kontron' global reorganization.
Cons
Completely dysfunctional organization. Sales effectively running the company, but with no accountability for bad deals and unachievable promises made to customers. Incompetent self-serving executive and middle management that thrive on micromanaging staff then blaming them for their mistakes. Management politics and infighting out of control. Management involved in harassment cases promoted instead of fired. Financial accounting practices effectively hiding product life-cycle revenue issues in overhead. Production product quality issues resulting in customer audit failures. Resource issues including chronic under resourcing of product development and lack of resources available for new work committed by Sales. Resources often lacking required skills and experience and no training to develop skills. Sweatshop mentality. Extremely poor employee moral. Low pay and poor benefits. Employee development exists on paper but lacking any substance. No job security. Talented and skilled people are leaving while poor performers and bad management remain.
