Pros

You get consistent hours weekly

Cons

This is one of the most draining and poorly managed companies I’ve experienced. I’ve been a nurse for 8 years and an NP injector for almost 2. PTO is essentially nonexistent for full-time and none for part-time, and the culture treats NPs/nurses like bottom of the barrel. You’re expected to comply, stay quiet, and mass produce. Don’t ask for time off (even unpaid) unless you have PTO… which barely exists. The attendance/point system is extremely punitive and designed to punish employees, not support them. Small emergencies, leaving 1 minute early, or arriving 1 minute late results in points, while being sick for a few days can nearly max out your allowance. Even if there’s a major hazard or clinic issue, you’re still expected to work through it. Micromanagement is constant and communication is disorganized. Schedulers do not listen to requests off, will still schedule you anyway, and expect you to show up. Multiple people quit during my short time there. Patient scheduling is unsafe and driven by commission hungry remote sales team. Double and triple booking is treated like normal, and appointment times are unrealistic for the services provided. For example, 30-minute filler appointments do not allow for safe, high-quality injector care. Internally, there’s frequent discussion about complications and reversal support, likely because the environment encourages rushing. Patient specialists in-store spend the day making 50–75 sales/marketing calls, yet there is little focus on true patient follow-up reinforcing a retail driven culture over patient care. Providers are also pressured to upsell for “points,” which is also unrealistic. The role feels like a technician position than a provider role. Policies change repeatedly, creating constant confusion and uncertainty. Equipment issues (used/broken lasers in a brand-new store) were not addressed for 2 months despite tickets and escalations, yet providers were still expected to maintain high-volume output. Per the DM, “thats Laseraways way”.And better be happy to work for them. No one I spoke to was happy!! I also witnessed leadership discussing employee personal matters inappropriately, creating an untrustworthy environment. Breaks are basically nonexistent and a 30-minute lunch feels unrealistic, they will schedule you through it. This company preys on recent grads because aesthetics can be hard to break into, but it’s not worth it even for the injection experience and very basic training. There are far better places to work where patient safety, provider support, and quality of care actually matter.

Pros

Competitive pay and strong training for new aesthetic providers. You’ll gain experience quickly because of the high patient volume.

Cons

LaserAway is a sales company disguised as a medical practice. Revenue consistently comes before patient care and provider well-being. Providers are routinely triple booked, making it nearly impossible to give patients the time and attention they deserve. Rushing through consultations and treatments creates unnecessary stress, increases burnout, and can compromise patient safety. Sales consultants have more influence than licensed medical professionals. Treatments are frequently sold before a provider even evaluates the patient, and nurses are often expected to justify or perform services they may not believe are appropriate. Medical opinions are routinely overshadowed by sales goals. The culture prioritizes quotas, memberships, and packages over ethical, patient-centered care. The PTO policy is extremely poor. Full-time employees receive only about 1.5 weeks of PTO per year, yet you’re expected to keep your schedule open seven days a week. You cannot submit unavailability or reliably schedule appointments in advance without using your already limited PTO. Maintaining any work-life balance is unnecessarily difficult.
