Pros

The people I worked with and started with I loved, but the management and actual business practices were awful.

Cons

I worked at this company for close to year as a patient care coordinator/treatment specialist and although I loved my coworkers, the business itself is very sketchy. You as an employee are given unrealistic sales goals that impact your paygrade, essentially forcing the employees to sell any and every service to the patients inquiring on the treatment. They look at them like money bags and put intense pressure on the patient care coordinators when their consults choose not to move forward (these treatments are EXPENSIVE!). Also, they ask employees to post positive reviews to combat negative reviews, on google, yelp, glassdoor and basically any sites that you can get reviewed on. I can say confidently that a good chunk of the reviews for each location are created by employees under false names. Management does not take genuine concerns seriously, and mostly gets swept under the rug. They do not take action for employee actions who act unethically or disrespectfully and ultimately part of why I left because I could no longer stand to work in that environment. The "treatment specialists" do not care about getting you a treatment that works for you, they care how much money you will spend- because we would get negative feedback from our managers when we wouldn't sell and be extremely pushy selling. Also there is little to no growth in this company unless you are a nurse- if you are a patient care coordinator there you will almost 100% likely to stay in that position if you stay at the company.

Pros

Competitive pay and strong training for new aesthetic providers. You’ll gain experience quickly because of the high patient volume.

Cons

LaserAway is a sales company disguised as a medical practice. Revenue consistently comes before patient care and provider well-being. Providers are routinely triple booked, making it nearly impossible to give patients the time and attention they deserve. Rushing through consultations and treatments creates unnecessary stress, increases burnout, and can compromise patient safety. Sales consultants have more influence than licensed medical professionals. Treatments are frequently sold before a provider even evaluates the patient, and nurses are often expected to justify or perform services they may not believe are appropriate. Medical opinions are routinely overshadowed by sales goals. The culture prioritizes quotas, memberships, and packages over ethical, patient-centered care. The PTO policy is extremely poor. Full-time employees receive only about 1.5 weeks of PTO per year, yet you’re expected to keep your schedule open seven days a week. You cannot submit unavailability or reliably schedule appointments in advance without using your already limited PTO. Maintaining any work-life balance is unnecessarily difficult.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate your recognition of our competitive compensation, comprehensive training, and the clinical experience providers gain while caring for a high volume of patients. We're sorry to hear your experience did not reflect the environment we strive to create. Patient safety and quality care are foundational to our mission, and our licensed medical providers are trusted to exercise their professional clinical judgment in every patient interaction. We are committed to maintaining high standards of care while continuously evaluating our operations and employee experience as our organization grows. We also appreciate your feedback regarding scheduling and time off. We understand the importance of supporting our teams both professionally and personally, and feedback like yours helps inform ongoing discussions about how we can continue to improve. Thank you for your contributions during your time with LaserAway. We wish you success in your future endeavors.
