Pros

Lovely Decor @ the Windsor.

Cons

They violate their Residents' Rights, if they are not mentally sound enough to complain and be believed by family members. DO NOT EVER put a family member in one of these places! They are constantly understaffed and overwork the staff they do have. I've never worked at a place that had such a high turnover for nurses in all of my 20 year career!

We’re sorry that your experience wasn’t positive, but we think it’s important to share that our Ocala location has been recognized as the Best of the Best by the local community and continues to be an example of excellence in senior living. The residence director has been at this location for seven years and is committed to positive outcomes and great experiences for residents and associates. Legend Senior Living™ takes any concern about safety and resident rights very seriously. It is against the law, industry standards and Legend’s Philosophy of Care to violate resident rights in any manner. This is not and will not be tolerated in any Legend Senior Living™ community. ANY current or former associate with ANY concern about the protection of resident rights is encouraged to contact our Associate Link line at 877-877-3893.

Pros

The residents are the pros. I enjoy taking care of them and making them happy.

Cons

Expecting a 5 star hospitality experience with instantaneous response times for every resident. Management does not help when there are staffing shortages. They won’t help answer call bells or assist in the kitchen. Legend wants to run the shift with the bare minimums for staff to resident ratios. Having to be an aide changing soiled briefs to then passing meals in the dining room is insanitary. They want you to do extra work but don’t want to pay overtime. Your shift is for 8 hours minus 30 minutes for an unpaid meal break that you must take. So you never get a 40 hour work week pay, only 37.5.
