Pros

Having worked for Legend Senior Living- Windsor of Venice for over 5 years, I have a very clear view of what a wonderful- caring compassionate community this is. Great support from the Regional Team and Home Office. Amazing opportunities with continuing education available to all who work at the community. This organization truly goes above and beyond in providing education for the associates. Support services are available for families, residents at this community become a part of the Windsor of Venice family. Compassionate- Caring people work at this community. It is not a 9-5 - Mon-Fri job- but if you have a passion to serve seniors - this is the Best of the Best place to be. FYI- Winner 6 years in a Row- Best Memory Care- Best Assisted living and Best Overall assisted living.

Cons

Every once in a while there are those associates who join an organization- who do not have a true understanding of the position or a passion for senior care.

Pros

The residents are the pros. I enjoy taking care of them and making them happy.

Cons

Expecting a 5 star hospitality experience with instantaneous response times for every resident. Management does not help when there are staffing shortages. They won’t help answer call bells or assist in the kitchen. Legend wants to run the shift with the bare minimums for staff to resident ratios. Having to be an aide changing soiled briefs to then passing meals in the dining room is insanitary. They want you to do extra work but don’t want to pay overtime. Your shift is for 8 hours minus 30 minutes for an unpaid meal break that you must take. So you never get a 40 hour work week pay, only 37.5.
