Pros
Free parking, that’s literally it.
Cons
It’s hard to explain everything wrong with this company and the management team. I’ll do my best. Being based out of NY and trying to integrate into the Boston market is hard to do but LiRo has decided to make it even more difficult and not to even adjust their strategy. They’re still running Boston as if it were NY. Never going to work but they refuse to listen to those who know. They run the company as if it was a construction company only. They pit each design department against each other. Fighting amongst themselves to get as much of the budget as possible in lieu of simply working as a team. A lot of back stabbing and talking behind backs. The SVP for MEP is a hack. He has a massive inferiority complex that can’t be solved. He’s smug, takes credit for anything good that happens (rare) and issues blame to things that aren’t as good. Refuses to listen. He’s an insane micromanager that looks over everything you do. Massive turnover in NY and now has gone from 8 engineers to 2 in about 5 months. Will be zero soon. 90% of the projects are public, low budget, no design skill projects that never do well financially. Architecture in Boston is a joke. Run by a team of inexperienced or incorrectly trained architects who can’t get out of there own way. A and E do not get along and won’t until major changes are implemented. This company, around the holidays, made the Boston staff use well earned PTO instead of billing projects or overhead. Management was unable to secure work for staff to bill time to so they were making them use there PTO if they weren’t busy. Can you believe this? Is this a company you want to work for?
