Pros
Great co-workers. People are willing to teach and train you on new things. Flexible culture, casual work attire, and nice on site gym’s (non-covid times) There are good recent efforts to fix major operational hurdles. Still probably won’t be out of the hole for a few years though. Exciting and interesting industry.
Cons
Company has not given a compensation raise since the time I was hired (a little over two years), but work load continues to pile up. Management makes you feel guilty for not working unpaid overtime ( I refuse to do that at the salary I am given), I have a second job to make ends meet and can’t work overtime... so either pay us more, or lower your expectations. Management will give you a new opportunity with your only reward being “experience”. I guess that’s good if you are looking to boost up your resume and leave. The promise of a big raise has been dangled in front of me since the first day I was on boarded... it’s not coming, no matter how much work i put in. This has been a trend prior to covid. There are ppl in my department who have worked for the company 5+ years and still make less than $20 an hour.
