there are some people that are fun and nice - they just haven't been there long enough or have learned to say everything is great to move up the ladder here.

If they say something fact check because it might be a lie Constantly changing timelines and direction - I mean it. they have no idea what to do from day to day - you are the one that gets pushed around when their plans are wrong - again and again and again - and don't ever mention this is terrible - you will pay Unlimited vacation - more like how dare you take vacation - I can't say this enough - do not believe the policy about unlimited vacation Feels like middle school all over again but worse Kissing up to the CEO works - for those that giggle when he talks - tell him he is great or pretend you want to hear about whatever he has going on - say you hate whatever he hates - nod and smile - If you do this you'll treated like you are special with extra praise, promotions, less work than everyone else, get to do the fun stuff and get to move into the in crowd. If that makes you feel creepy, then you're not going to do well here No diversity or inclusion unless they think you're cute - but I'm sure that is not supposed to be what DI means Trust your brain - if it sounds wrong or feels wrong, it is Use people until they are broken - then they push harder - happens a lot Thrive off of middle school drama Make up lies about you especially if you dare to say something Your leadership often makes you feel useless and replaceable, and they say it Bait and switch - you interview with nice normal people but you get a manager that either doesn't know how to manage others at best or that does not care about you at all They will throw you under the bus. They must be terrified of something or some other real issues They gang up against people - I mentioned it is middle school! They want to see you fail - The minute you get sick or take vacation you are immediately forced to work insane hours and get extra work to crush you HR - Do NOT trust them - they will be told about you and you will immediately be a target - you will pay over and over for not saying everything is great - transparency is not for the top If HR doesn't like you - you will not like working here - also very useful to tell them how smart they are - this also works more than the actual work - remember 2 choices the in crowd or the out crowd. They have the control to tell him who to praise and who they should target. but don't fool yourself even if you give up your dignity - you can find yourself on the outside instantly - remember everything is great all the time - you love non-stop timeline changes out of nowhere and hurting other people that are in the out crowd more than you love your friends, your puppy, or even your own parents. You live to serve their changing needs at all times They play favorites - this is not subtle- just listen he will say their name every chance he gets. If you want a normal friendly environment you will be an outcast - it just doesn't work here Pay attention to those that kiss-ups and kick down quietly they might start a discussion about how terrible things are with the intention of running to someone to tell them how you hate it there to stay on top but at the same time hurt any chance for a normal life here - and the best part they get a promotion for it - never forget this - everything is great all of the time no matter what someone tries to get you to say! Please ask people that no longer work here - they were right - I had hints things were terrible but I thought I could make it or even thought I could work hard enough to please someone - If I had to say what I was most angry about is that I was a fool that wasted so much of my time in this drama. I started out believing if I was nice to everyone, worked hard and did my best that was all that matters. But, I was wrong.
