Pros

Really great people, great culture when I first started.

Cons

Lost sight of where they wanted to focus, product was no longer competitive and they did nothing to improve, lack of ownership and accountability, management played favorites, really low pay, then all the layoffs came.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We agree, Lytx has a really great team and culture. We appreciate the feedback and recognize that, like many companies, we've gone through a significant period of change. Over the past year, we've been focused on strengthening our strategy, driving innovation, and continuing to build a culture grounded in accountability, transparency and collaboration. The decision to downsize teams in deprioritized areas, even as we continue to actively invest and grow in others, was a difficult one. Once we determined it was necessary to realign our internal resources, we were transparent with employees about the decision. We transitioned as many people as possible into other positions within the company and provided a support package, extended medical coverage, and career transition support to those who were impacted, regardless of tenure.

Pros

Great customers, innovative technology, new leadership is focused on right things. Love the new DRIVE company values.

Cons

A con for some (but pro for most): Competitive industry means lots of change. You need to like working hard and moving fast.

Pros

Hard to tell at this stage

Cons

The senior leadership at this company, particularly the CEO, continues a pattern from his previous roles/companies of prioritizing the hiring of friends and family members. A quick review of his prior company on LinkedIn reveals the same issues persisted there, with little apparent concern for addressing them. This practice creates significant resentment and a clear (and perceived) lack of fairness among employees. The CEO has historically dismissed these concerns with laughter at Lytx and in past companies which ultimately contributed to his downfall. It is likely only a matter of time before this Glassdoor account is censored. Nepotism of this nature serves as a major distraction and has a broadly negative impact on company culture, morale, and performance. As a side note, the lynx representative who responds to Glassdoor reviews comes across as dismissive and condescending. With the current leadership in place, this company will continue to face serious challenges in attracting and retaining talent.

Thank you for your feedback. We take concerns about fairness seriously and are surprised at your sentiment. We do encourage employee referrals, including qualified family members, because great talent often comes through trusted networks, but referrals do not guarantee employment. Every candidate is evaluated through the same hiring process, and hiring decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and the needs of the business. We remain committed to building a high-performing team and fostering a culture where employees can succeed.
