The senior leadership at this company, particularly the CEO, continues a pattern from his previous roles/companies of prioritizing the hiring of friends and family members. A quick review of his prior company on LinkedIn reveals the same issues persisted there, with little apparent concern for addressing them.
This practice creates significant resentment and a clear (and perceived) lack of fairness among employees. The CEO has historically dismissed these concerns with laughter at Lytx and in past companies which ultimately contributed to his downfall. It is likely only a matter of time before this Glassdoor account is censored.
Nepotism of this nature serves as a major distraction and has a broadly negative impact on company culture, morale, and performance. As a side note, the lynx representative who responds to Glassdoor reviews comes across as dismissive and condescending.
With the current leadership in place, this company will continue to face serious challenges in attracting and retaining talent.
