Pros

Wonderful learning environment where managers are encouraging and lean on growth-mindset. Stable company allows for time and resources to be dedicated to learning. Everyone in engineering is respectful and for the most part egos are kept in check. There are many bootcamp hires which is great.

Cons

Constant salary exploitation on the software engineering side at least for level 2-3 devs. The DEI stuff is really placation and superficial. The company refuses to back Black Lives Matter because ya know, it's a tech company in the trucking industry which heavily relies on conservative leaders. There's constant vague messaging that "plays to both sides" when it concerns social matters. The company has double-downed on their right to maintain status quo. Any cultural heritage month/week is seen as an opportunity for gross appropriation.

Pros

Great customers, innovative technology, new leadership is focused on right things. Love the new DRIVE company values.

Cons

A con for some (but pro for most): Competitive industry means lots of change. You need to like working hard and moving fast.

Pros

Healthcare benefits are great. There are a lot of passionate, hard-working people across the company.

Cons

Great people are leaving, signs of a business in decline. Direction of the company and outlook for the future is bleak. Years spent sitting on the sidelines collecting money and patting ourselves on the back has resulted in the current market positioning and has allowed our competitors to make a big run at our expense. It might be too late to recover, especially if we continue to increase and promote middle management from departments with history of negligence and apathy for the customer experience. There’s a business to run, but without customers there won’t be any business…
