I want to emphasize just how unique it is to be working in the financial sector in any capacity and find yourself working for a company that actually practices what it preaches. Sure, a lot of financial institutions give lip service to customer service, but it’s usually with sly side-wink to let you know that nothing is more important than the bottom line.
That’s not the case at Mariner. When they say that the customer matters more than anything else, they mean it. We’re not paid to get people’s money any way we can, we’re paid to actually make a difference in people’s lives and help them make the best financial decision for them.
It’s refreshingly ethical work, and if for no other reason than that, I don’t see myself ever leaving the Mariner Finance family.
Cons
If you prefer putting profit above people, don’t apply. This isn’t that kind of place and we don’t want people who are coming in trying to change things to be more toxic like the rest of this industry.
