Not stimulating, but a doable job - Customer Service Representative Mariner Finance Employee Review

Pros

Good days seemed to depend on coworkers and the attitude of the customers (always nice if you don't get yelled at over the phone). The pay was alright, (but not competitive) considering it was a temporary position, and the work isn't considerably difficult (phones, filing, computer entry of applications).

Cons

Inefficient ways of doing things and not willing to change, bureacracy gets in the way. Branches are encouraged to grow, grow, grow and compete, despite size differences.

Pros

They will go above and beyond to get you approved for a loan.

Cons

The culture wasn’t the best, you’re also basically a bill collector, at an extreme level. Calling people 3x a day, even calling their job and potential relatives. Training wasn’t actually training, it was an hour a day. You’re at work for 8 hours but training was only 1 hour.
