Worked in this business for a long time but must say I cannot recommend working here. Work/Home balance is the worst I've seen by far for management and upper management. Expectations and workload are beyond unreasonable at many times and this seems to be at every level with upper management complaining much of the time that they can't keep up. Does seem the company seems split between an established market in the north and more recent purchased branches in the south getting worse conditions.
Next, their is an issue with trust. It seems items that items informed to staff such as pay, benefits, policies, etc. during purchase transitions seem to change or be disregarded down the road. There have been numerous issues with personnel upset over the last year due to items changing after they were discussed and this seems to go all the way up to regional management.
A typical day is lending and collecting with the majority of it being phone calls for both but the aggressive and at many times unrealistic expectations, processes, and amount assigned seem to be where the workload becomes unbalanced. Combined with these items, the thick skin needed to work here just makes for an unpleasant atmosphere that fosters more motivation from fear than anything else. Yelling, inappropriate language at times, and threats of job loss seem to go unchecked at many levels of management and seem to roll from the very top.
