Pros
When you are able to truly build relationships with customers, it makes your work experience and their shopping experience amazing. This is what maurices is all about. Also, they make team building fun. I was extremely close to my amazing team.
Cons
If you are a manager, expect to work every single weekend, unless you request off. The company doesn't give stores enough hours to complete all of the tasks that they expect. The pay is low considering the responsibilities and expectations. There are constant budget cuts, giving more responsibilities to associates, which would be fine, if the company gave stores more hours and paid associates for the extra work. Upper management can be hard to communicate with, even though they say there is open communication.
