Pros
maurcies cares about their people. They believe in work-life balance and know that holidays are a time to be with your family. They trust their workers and I believe that's why the succeed. It's a company of friendship basically, when you go in there you know you're going to get the best service. We wanted you to feel like you were shopping with a close friend. When our store closed down (due to retail space, not numbers) we had customers who came in so upset, crying even. maurices is more than a clothing store, it's like a second home. Not just to the workers there but the customers as well. You never feel like you don't have enough time. Yes, sometimes shipment backs up or you can't accomplish a task. But customers always come first! When you make goals you're recognized for them, not just management... but associates too. From card loads, to goodie baskets, to awards up on the wall. maurices takes pride in their associates and it shows. They have updated and very resourceful beefit tools. Between vidcasts, LP videos and posters, it's not just boring paper work. It's all well done and helps you grow.
Cons
maurices in an individual selling type of business. You're stats are what hold your job. It's awesome when it comes to holding each member of your team accountable, but sometimes it can create a unhealthy competition if you're team members aren't on board with the alternating customers route. I feel like team selling would be a lot more effective
