Pros
Cute women's clothes at an awesome employee discount of 40% and 20% off clearance. Corporate sends us little boxes of chocolate and snacks ever so often. Tech savvy. A sales associate was promoted to manager, which is fabulous. There is plenty of inside hiring.
Cons
I don't know if this is everywhere or just my store but we always have periodical store meetings on Sunday morning when I have church, so I have to miss church, which is upsetting. Managers are petty and immature. Not enough hours for part-timers, even though hardly anyone is full time but the managers. Every customer must be greeted and if you don't you get scolded. There will be days I have to call in to see if I come in to work. It's like roulette and that's hard to plan around. When I have to ask for days off for school events etc, my manager gets put out even when I ask off well before 2 weeks in advance. The credit card, the credit card, the credit card, is all you will hear and if you don't convince people to get it, you aren't an asset so you don't get scheduled as often. You can't wear clearance items to work, despite how many there are left or how alike it is to new products. You can't just look cute and trendy like i was told in my interview. You have to dress within the current color story as well and you have to over-accessorize and wear a pretentious amount of layers to be dressed correctly. If your outfit isn't deemed cute enough you will be sent home to change. Everyone is paid hourly, yet, the managers act extremely competitive, which only makes the environment uncomfortable.
