Work/life balance is difficult to achieve, corporate often times feels out-of-touch with field workers (example, providing incentives that our teams aren’t interested in, or only rewarding the store leader for store performance when it should be the entire team). The amount of hours we get to run our stores does not coincide with the amount of work that there is to be done. Stores often feel understaffed which leads to quick burnout and the overwhelming feeling that you cannot have a day off.
