Pros

Coworkers were great. Ion-analysis technology was very good and robust. Wonderful set of customers.

Cons

The arrogance of the upper management team is unbelievable. Micromanagement and silo culture. Each department has its own agenda despite overarching goals. No work/life balance. Upper management team for the most part is a group of "Good old boys" who do not have any experience outside of Metrohm and it shows. Any input garnered from prior experience is dismissed out of hand. Not stomach for major decisions. Important sales or management tactics are decided on at the last minute and changed regularly. No vision for the future.

Cons

Benefits and insurance coverage could be better in the US

Pros

- Getting to work alongside good people who care about doing what's right for all stakeholders, internal and external. - Working in a clean and comfortable environment with nice amenities like the espresso machine and large personal workstations. - Management has been truly empathetic and open to suggestions and letting me branch out into other areas of work especially management of the production floor. - Cross-functional collaboration has so far been effective and I have been included without having to advocate for myself (not feeling silo-ed). - The culture is amazing for work/life balance and management seems highly accommodating to lifestyle and neurodivergency. A great place for shy people like myself to feel comfortable. This is the best job and best job environment I have of all my previous jobs and internships. I came from a tech/corporate remote-to-hybrid consulting environment and I much prefer this style of in-person work. I cannot heap enough praise onto production floor management and staff at the Plainsboro location.

Cons

- Procedures, process flows, and data have been disorganized. I see this more as a challenge where I can make improvements, but it can be frustrating at times. - I have basically no exposure to upper management and haven't been at the company long so I cant comment on their effectiveness or decision-making outcomes yet.
