Pros

MINDBODY offers great perks, like any young tech company. Yoga balls, stand up desks, new buildings with slides are but a few included benefits. The Implementation department is moving in a positive direction and leadership within the department is extremely supportive. The CEO is very involved and appears to have the employees in mind with each decision he makes. It's a great place if you want a work-life balance and motivation to be a healthier person inside and out.

Cons

With any young and growing company there are growing pains. I believe the company is growing faster than it can support, and it seems like the company is struggling to keep their top performers in customer service roles. There seems to be a lack of communication between departments, but I am hopeful that this will eventually improve.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy to hear of the supportive leadership directly within the Customer Service Department and that employment here seems to have a positive effect on your own health and wellness all around. As Rick said at a recent client conference, “our employees come first.” We do this because we know that in order to deliver great service to clients we need to first meet the needs of our employees and provide an environment to thrive and grow. Turnover among employees is always something we strive to learn from. Overall, Customer Service turnover is 7.2% below the company average and is 18% below the industry average. The biggest reason listed from exit interviews is (1) Returning to School, (2) Personal Reasons, and (3) Relocation. Outpacing external attrition is promotion, which is currently at about 18%. Regarding communication, we are actively working on improving this with consolidation of CRM databases and improved Senior Management meeting structures to better the trickle down information to all teams. With such rapid growth, maintaining communication is a challenge, which we’re facing head on. I’m very happy that you feel the outlook is positive even with these challenges and we look forward to a better future! Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

During my time at Mindbody, I was fortunate to work in an incredibly supportive team environment. The team was collaborative, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere where everyone’s ideas were valued. My managers played a key role in creating this supportive culture. They were not only approachable and encouraging, but also inspiring leaders who gave me the freedom to take initiative and grow within my role. One of the most rewarding aspects of my experience was the creative freedom I was given. I had the opportunity to explore new ideas and approach challenges in innovative ways, which made the work both exciting and fulfilling. This level of trust and autonomy helped me build my confidence, expand my skills, and develop as a professional. Additionally, the work culture at Mindbody emphasized collaboration, making it easy to share ideas and tackle problems togethe

Cons

While my experience at Mindbody was largely positive, there were a few challenges I encountered. One significant issue was the constant turnover in leadership. This frequent change in management created a sense of instability, as new leaders would often come in with different priorities and approaches. As a result, it sometimes felt like no one was on the same page, leading to a lack of direction and clarity. This inconsistency caused a fair amount of disorganization within the company, making it difficult to align on goals and strategies. The shifting leadership dynamics created some challenges in maintaining a consistent workflow and made it harder to build long-term plans. Despite the supportive team environment, this lack of continuity in leadership was a noticeable drawback.
