Pros

There are some great people that work for the company, who are very innovative. Unfortunately, their ideas/feedback are not valued. Mistras is a leader in the asset integrity industry and develop their own MI software, which they don't use at their labs.

Cons

There is not a corporate quality standard. There is not a corporate training, mentorship, or apprentiship program. Growth potential is limited; however, one may be thrown into a leadership position as a reaction, not due to ones accomplishments or tracked development. One will not receive training before or after being thrown into said position. Management is not interested in the development of their employees, only the P&L.

Facility needs to be improved upon as far as size goes.

Pros

Hardworking field technicians, supportive Corporate Finance and Payroll teams, knowledgeable Regional Administrative Managers, opportunities to learn, and valuable industry experience.

Cons

Inconsistent leadership, poor communication, unclear and constantly changing expectations, disorganized processes, lack of accountability, reactive management, limited support from leadership, low morale, and a stressful work environment. Employees often felt uninformed, and the lack of transparency made it difficult to perform their jobs effectively. Field technicians deserved greater recognition and support.
