Pros

Depends which entity and team you're at... Dual screen monitor. Some people are friendly. Some are questionable. Sometimes there's drama to keep myself entertained. WFH - some team. Doesn't pick on what time you come and leave. Competitive environment which push you to be better. Visibility and optics are important here.

Cons

Depends which entity and team you're at... Visibility and optics are important here. Competitive environment, not so forgiving once you missed something. If your performance isn't good, you need to be good at building relationship internally or play politics.

Pros

Great work-life balance. Decent benefit.

Cons

They don't pay you much. They don't treat engineers as profession. They think engineers are all the same and can swap any of them them with joiner engineers or contractors. They thought they can hire a contractor for 4 months for a project. They took a full month to get a laptop for a contractor, took one more month to get them through onboarding, then took one more month to get them use to the codebase, then the contractor wrote one line, then the 4 months was up. We had to repeat the process with a new contractor.
