Pros
Good immediate group of coworkers! Great health care options, with a low copay! Lots of free coffee! Three 12 hour shifts lead to a long weekend!
Cons
This place is very turbulent, everyday I walked into work they were expecting to get more out of me while at the same time they would try and do less on my behalf. There was really no long term incentives or motivation for taking on extra work either. There was also no accountability, and the poor performers were never addressed so a select few ended up doing most of the work. Anything but a meritocracy at Myriad Genetics! The pay was quite low, as they advertise that most of their entry level jobs only need a high school diploma, but in reality their regulating agencies required a college degree . This is all so they could claim that they pay well above industry standards, for a high school graduate that is (they only hired college graduates for all the positions that I was aware of). There is a general feeling of hostility toward their lower level employees that was so so strange! It was said several times that if you don't like something, find a different place to work! They were not trying to change their ways as far as I could tell.
