Pros
The work/life balance is good, enjoy working from home, finally allowing Macs for development and not just PCs.
Cons
Salaries are below the market, benefits are below the market. They get new staff by purchasing other companies since they can't hire qualified people with the low salaries. However, within 2 years of being purchased all but about 30% of the acquired staff has left for other opportunities. Way too many layers of management and they really don't care about the consultants anyhow, just want bodies to staff projects and will do whatever they have to do for that, which means hiring lots of contractors to fill projects out. Projects are very disorganized, no development standards, no modern dev ops training or usage in place. Everything seems to be done by the seat of the pants. Salary increases are low and not keeping up with the industry. Internal tools developed are horrible and full of bugs but we are forced to use them.
