Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and for being direct. The tension between flexibility and the reality of what this role demands is very much present in your role and within this industry. Your advice about resourcing ahead of growth is fair. If you're open to it, we'd welcome a conversation. Feel free to reach out to your direct support and they can help relay the feedback and keep the conversation going. But overall, we really appreciate the review. It helps us improve and gives applicants and future employees a taste of the good and the imperfections here. - The Neighbors Bank Team

Pros

- People genuinely enjoy each other and make every day unique and fun. The culture is 100% real. - Interesting work with some really smart people. - Big resources from a strong parent company, with the scrappy startup feel. - The work that we do genuinely helps people who are looking for a home loan and may not have the credit or funds to qualify for a traditional loan product. NB does a lot to care for the community as well. - Pay is strong and there are a lot of "fun" benefits (company functions, summer groups, giveaways, games, etc.) - Fully embrace the flexibility and trust that remote work should provide.

Cons

- Remote work definitely isn't for everyone (though this is a GREAT place if you're looking for it). - Growing pains that come with branching off from a parent company. - A lot of processes and ways of doing business are rooted deep in the ways of the parent company. There is some pushback to any change from this.

Well this is excellent advice! The growing pains of building are no joke. The team members who can see the good in our culture, contribute to it, and want to improve it are how we protect what we all love most about Neighbors. So glad you are here to influence our future. Keep speaking up and coming with new ideas. -The Neighbors Bank Team
