Pros

My two greatest frustrations at previous jobs were feeling like my input was undervalued and that I'd always be stuck on the same rung of the proverbial ladder. At Network Coverage, it was immediately apparent my experience would be different. I joined the company in early 2017 as a Bench Tech, tasked with configuring new PCs for clients. Less than four years later, I've worked my way up to IT Specialist, Help Desk Lead and now oversee all training for a company that's nearly quadrupled in size since I first walked through the door. I got to this point because smart, supportive individuals are steering the ship -- ones who have instilled a true team mentality in the entire staff. They're also ones who welcome new ideas -- large and small -- and put them into action. Development and growth are high on the priority list. Network Coverage puts staff in a position to succeed, letting them make the most of their strengths -- be it their technical abilities and/or their soft skills. Many of the positions that exist within the company today were carved out by those who identified a need and showed they were the one for the job -- myself included. Couple all that with a great, tight-knit culture, and it's hard to come up with anything more you could possibly ask for.

Cons

Like many other professions, IT is one in which work follows you home on occasion. It's unavoidable, especially in 2020. That's truly the closest thing to a con I could come up with. No one working in IT -- especially at an MSP -- should expect otherwise. And, to Network Coverage's credit, work-life balance is of great importance.

Cons

Lack of support from upper management for lower level Support Analysts.. Management always takes POCs side and do not mind writing you up for minor mistakes Work life balance is awful, expect to work most holidays and RTO on first come first serve basis Praise with no clear growth path expect to stay stagnant regardless of certifications/degrees/years of experience Constant Restructures
