Pros
Hardworking colleagues who genuinely care about good reporting and try to do the right thing... until they are laid off or driven from the company. Having the name "Newsweek" on your resume does still get you places.
Cons
Newsweek has lost all semblance of respect. While I was there they were embroiled in legal battles, tax fraud, and more. They have resorted to unethical news practices just to keep the lights on. (Literally, sometimes they didn't pay the electricity bills!) Editors forced writers to quickly write stories with headlines they didn't feel comfortable with. Then when Newsweek got in trouble for said terrible stories, the company lets reporters take the fall. I left voluntarily but saw others get fired or laid off if they tried to push back against these practices. Avoid at all costs, imho.
