Pros

Get responsibility at a young age World class manufacturing Always want to do better A company that (was) in the right industry at the right time There are some honest, talented people working there There is lots of drama and excitement (pro)

Cons

There is lots of drama and excitement (con) Low trust, toxic environment Honest, talented people are overlooked in favor of ego and bravado Terrible listeners Everyone thinks they are the smartest person in the room, so everyone is second guessing and undermining each other Long line of experienced, knowledgeable professionals have been ousted or left voluntarily HR “protects the business” first and foremost In denial about negative feedback (see below for the response from the Talent Acquisition team to prove the point)

Niagara has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years and have rewarded those who not only work hard, but are able to challenge the status quo to drive innovation and results. We also recognize the growing pains of such growth, and are continuously making steps to build leadership capability through Training and Development courses for our Team Members. Thank you for making the time to write this thorough review as we are always looking for continuous improvement opportunities.

Pros

There are pros but it varies by team

Cons

They are very heavy on politics. Even if you do a good job and have solid projects under your belt, if upper leadership decides they want to get rid of you, they will — simply because upper management’s ego is too big to admit they made a mistake. You’re also expected to work crazy hours with an overwhelming workload and poor work‑life balance. This company has changed a lot since the HQ was in Ontario. You’re just a number now, and they’ll get rid of you at any moment. There have been MULTIPLE times where they randomly fired a percentage of HQ employees for no reason.
