Pros

good foundation for sales and cold calling/emailing supportive in office coworkers young environment if you're just out of college

Cons

-7am-4pm (typically working overtime, it's transportation) -high turnover -good luck trying to go after accounts... the CRM is so unorganized -accounts are passed around broker to broker which creates uncertainty and lacks professionalism when trying to maintain a customer relationship (multiple different reps has burned NTG's reputation) -EXTREMELY casual office -very difficult to grow vertically and maintain broker status -the commission isn't the best

Thanks for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear the role gave you a solid foundation in sales and that your in-office team was supportive. We hear the feedback around turnover, CRM organization, account ownership, and commission structure-- those are areas we’re continuing to work on as the business evolves. Appreciate you taking the time to be honest about what worked and what didn’t.

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
