Pros

The people are all young and fun to work with. The office is nice.

Cons

No job security, fire people in the middle of the month, change their quotas constantly and fire people who don't fit into their new mold. They do not have enough managers to help everyone. Have no problem leaving you without a manager for months on end. Only care about the people bringing in the most money and do not care about the people in the middle or bottom. Give no heads up before firing, no PIP plan, no soft or hard targets, just fire groups of people out of the blue.

This is concerning to hear and I'm going to follow up on this feedback specifically with ATL and HR leadership. The only time I've ever heard of a Sales Rep being let go without any warning is for gross misconduct-- Any other time would have been accompanied by documented performance issues, consistently being under-quota, etc. If you'd like an update on my discussions with leadership about your feedback, please email hrteam@ntgfreight.com

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
