Pros

Money to made in a better market, Laid back office environment

Cons

Turnover was high from managers to ops to carrier sales and of course brokers. Basically all over the office in all departments people were getting let go and as a result morale was low.

The Chicago office recently got a new General Manager who we are super excited about! I think a lot of these concerns should improve under new leadership-- I know going through leadership changes can be hard on everyone so I'm glad to say this office is on a great path forward. Sorry this turnover lead to a poor experience for you-- We wish you the best of luck in whatever comes next for you and appreciate your feedback!

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
