Pros

some of the people within the company are great - basically the non leadership .

Cons

Working at Northspyre was easily one of the most toxic and draining experiences of my career. Leadership is completely disorganized, priorities change constantly, and there’s little to no transparency from management. The turnover is incredibly high, which says a lot about the culture — good people leave constantly, and the ones who stay seem burned out and disengaged. Morale is terrible. Employees are expected to absorb more work as people quit, while leadership pretends everything is fine. There’s a strong culture of fear and favoritism, and it feels like management is more focused on optics than actually supporting employees. One of the biggest red flags was the way compensation was handled. People saw pay cuts or compensation changes with little empathy or accountability, which completely destroyed trust. It became obvious very quickly that employees were viewed as disposable. The leave policies and treatment around time off were especially awful. Taking leave or even trying to prioritize your health/work-life balance felt like putting a target on your back. Many employees felt pressured or scrutinized afterward, and there was constant anxiety about retaliation or suddenly being placed under “performance management” for no real reason. The environment overall is exhausting. Communication is poor, expectations are unrealistic, and leadership seems disconnected from the reality of what employees deal with day to day. Instead of investing in retention or culture, the company just cycles through people and burns them out. I would strongly caution anyone considering joining. The stress, instability, and toxic culture simply are not worth it.

Pros

- Great product with a ton of runway, and strong growth each year I've been here. - Solid work-life balance once you get up and running; once confidence is earned, it's a warm, trusting work environment with great benefits.

Cons

- Building the plane while we're flying it 100% of the time - Decision bottlenecks with a flat leadership team - Fire drills part of daily life (start-up)

Pros

- Leadership genuinely listens - both my manager and CEO have been receptive to feedback. - Strong mentorship from my direct manager, who carves out dedicated time to support my growth and check in on my workload - Hard work gets recognized - I received an unprompted raise due to work-ethic & performance recognition. - The role strikes a great balance between leveraging what I already know and being pushed to grow in new directions - The team is genuinely great to work with day to day - Exciting growth phase - moving into a dedicated office space has added a real sense of momentum and establishment

Cons

- The recruiting and onboarding process can be inconsistent and occasionally misleading - multiple new hires (including myself) have come in with incorrect expectations around office days and hours. - Be sure to clarify in-office expectations explicitly during the offer stage, as what's communicated in interviews doesn't always match the reality on the ground.
