Pros

A few good people and a paycheck

Cons

Narcissistic leadership runs the show in all departments. Favoritism and nepotism is apart of OU Healths DNA. Employees (current/ former)who do not play the game fall victim to harassment and bullying just for speaking the truth.

Pros

Workplace Culture and Team Collaboration: Many employees appreciate the supportive, family-like atmosphere and strong teamwork within their teams and across departments. They value the camaraderie, inclusivity, and mutual respect that foster a positive work environment focused on patient care. Meaningful Work and Patient Impact: Employees find motivation and satisfaction in knowing their work directly or indirectly improves patient care and community health. This sense of purpose is a significant driver of engagement.

Cons

Degree Requirements and Career Advancement: Many employees express concern that strict degree requirements, especially for IT roles, hinder career progression and demoralize experienced staff without degrees. There is a strong preference for recognizing equivalent experience or certifications in lieu of formal degrees to promote internal mobility and retain talent.
