Pros
Supportive and knowledgeable manager. Supportive and fun peers, but don't work in the same office. Opportunities for professional development as a new manager. Decent tuition reimbursement and agreements for discounts at local universities.
Cons
Pay is below market for many associates, especially locally, but they will continuously tell you otherwise. Pay is NOT performance based so you get mediocre associates with mediocre to poor work ethic. Insurance was said to be "their own" when interviewing but its just for OhioHealth associates, hosted through another insurance company.. not able to select deductible levels, or levels of dental or vision insurance - first company where I have experienced only one plan of each.. and its EXPENSIVE IN NETWORK! HR is not helpful -- whether you have an associate who needs corrective action or have you work environment issues such as bullying , it will take forever to get help, if they're responsive at all. Doctors are gods at this company, something I didn't experience at other healthcare organizations.. their behavior, good, bad or indifferent will be acceptable as per HR and leadership.. they have no code of conduct and certainly are not held accountable like associates. Hiring processes are lengthy and internal recruiters are almost in the way rather than being helpful. Management bonuses are based on things you may not be able to control, like physician Press Ganey scores.
