Pros
Great co-workers. Amazing training opportunities and insane experience for you law enforcement career. Fast pace and challenging work environment that helps you grow as a LEO.
Cons
Empty promises, no respect for the front line Officers, we are just a number. Terrible retirement and health care coverage (over priced for the little you get). High turn over rate due to morale. High amount of serious injuries that you either suck up or you are forced out by doors being closed. Every salary employee is from the outside and these faces change every few years. When the VP is terminated and new one is appointed, everyone is fired and his own team is brought in to lead. Many of whom have ZERO experience in the field and have no idea what you do. Polices get Officers hurt and you are left with almost half of your pay and not able to pay your bills for going into a situation that everyone runs from. You are either liked or your blacklisted and they want to try and ruin your career. Extremely toxic work environment. The only thing that gets you out of bed is not letting your team members down. Does not matter if you work at Grady, Riverside, Grant or Doctors, it is not those teams that make it terrible, it is the management. Again, a management that has never worn that uniform and acts like they have. I would not recommend this agency to anyone, even someone I do not like. If you want to waste some of the best years of your career, go and drink their koolaid. If you want real hospital experience, go to another healthcare system. This system will squeeze every last drop of juice out of the lemon (you) and then leave you on the street with absolutely nothing.
