Pros

Steady hourly pay. Most people who work at Pods are a joy to be around. The new VP of sales and service, Eric. If not for Eric a lot of, intelligent, hard working agents here would have been long gone by now. Most supervisors are very understanding and helpful.

Cons

First off let me say I'm a very positive person with a positive outlook on nearly everything. That should tell you quite a bit about PODS considering the minimal length of my "Pros" section of this review. Although, most days, it's back to back calls for 8 hrs a day 5 days a week, i used to like coming into work and taking calls. Key phrase here is "used to". When i first started working with PODS the pay was pretty good. Good enough that feeling drained at the end of the day for taking back to back calls was worth the pay. PODS has cut sales and service pay each year the past two years totalling about 35% the average agents annual income. I'm not just throwing a number out there. I'm great with numbers and I've ran them each year. While PODS management acts like it's a good change each year because our hourly rate went up a little. They have significantly cut commission for the average sales agent and completely cut all of customer service's commission. Leading to agents not caring and far more mistakes on accounts. Over the past two years the quality of our agents have greatly decreased. From sophisticated, intelligent, agents (many with degrees) to lazy, C- in English and D in math, agents. As of right now only 40, general (not outbound or commercial), sales agents have been with PODS longer than a year. Considering we have about 200 sales agents on the phone during peak times that number should speak volumes. PODS attendance policy has a lot do do with these numbers. It's so strict that most new agents don't last their first 6 months solely on attendance points. With the sort of draining feeling you get after a day on the phones at PODS and with how the pay currently is... I don't blame most of them. That's what i don't understand about PODS. We make more than projection every year, yet, we cut our hard working employee's pay every year. Sadly, by PODS saving money on employees pay i see it has PODS ultimately loosing out on a positive income overall. Cut employee's pay = lesser quality agent = many more mistakes and less personable agent = not happy customers = less referrals and returning customers = less money for PODS. With all the competitors out there in the industry now customer service is going to be a key factor in a successful and less successful container moving company. Get it together PODS.

Pros

People know the brand but that’s it

Cons

This is the worst environment I’ve probably ever worked in, constant lies, awful culture where some people work remote others don’t, director level and above treat everyone else with zero respect. The pay is so below average it’s alarming. The amount of leaders who don’t know how to develop their employees is staggering and their are C level folks who have never hired in their careers before moving into the role.
