Cons
I believe the Major areas needing improvement are as listed. (but not limited to). A). Machine utilization (scheduling of product vs Makeready interruption ) B). Time Management ( unnecessary overtime scheduling and lack of scheduling the correct amount of employees for the shift. Directing employees to work harder not smarter... ie..no clear direction of expectations. Many other examples available) C). Product management (excessive waste with no communication or request for employee input on preventative measures. "No breakdown of preventable causes" Inventory of tooling and supplies, no active tool crib monitoring, both in order and supply. No replacement parts readily available for high use/ regularly worn tooling. Incoming product inspection and/or credit for defective product. IE.. nothing in use on the production floor to monitor or quarantine vendor defects) D). Technical support.. ( defect troubleshooting, detailed machine training, lack of knowledge on mechanical failure prevention) E). Discontinued proper preventative maintenance program. ( having undertrained, inexperienced employees perform PM) F). No R & D team to invent in - house manufacturing of high turn over items
